That is 0.1667 per kilometre — over the 60,000 km you actually covered, not the 140,000 km showing on the clock. Divide by the odometer instead and you understate what the vehicle cost you by more than half.

Three things it does that a spreadsheet does not
It refuses to guess
No purchase price recorded means no cost of ownership — it says which figure is missing instead of showing a zero. A vehicle you still own is labelled not final, because counting the whole purchase price as spent is honest but not comparable to one you have sold.
It knows your vehicle
3,043 makes and 20,556 models, from a Zastava 750 to this year’s MG — and the field still accepts anything you type, because a record of every vehicle you have owned cannot have a closed list.
It says what it does not know
If you started logging in year three, the record says so on its first line. A history that implies completeness it does not have is worth less than one that admits the gap.
